In The New Indian Express issue of September 22, 2007 in the article titled “Advani’s metamorphosis” on page 10, the writer of the article, the Editor-in-Chief Mr. Aditya Sinha has quoted me as having said that “both former Prime Minister A.B. Vajpayee and L.K. Advani, with all due respect, were now just too old for politics”

I was shocked to see this statement attributed to me. I deny it categorically. I have never made such a statement at any time. I wish to add that I have the highest personal regard for both Shri. Vajpayee and Shri. Advani. It is sad to see the Editor-in-Chief of a reputed newspaper indulging in such immature, irresponsible and mischievous writing.
