In a statement released in this regard, Ms Jayalalithaa said that the AIADMK youth camp for young men and girls was founded by her on the 7th of March 2008 with an objective of rejuvenating the party.
She said that the youngsters in the camp were like the spears of the party's force. The camps remained the nurseries for the party's future, she said. Ms Jayalalithaa noted that lakhs and lakhs of youngsters are being drawn towards her leadership and have been joining the camp which was the training grounds for developing the Country, language and race.
The young boys and girls in the camp have been serving the party with vehemence, determination and faithfulness, the Chief Minister added. In order to encourage them further and in memory of the founding day of the camp, it was decided to conduct youth camp raising day public meetings every year.
Accordingly, youth camp raising day public meetings would be held on behalf of the party's youth camp for young men and girls, in all the party wise district headquarters in Tamil Nadu on the 16th of this month. Ms Jayalalithaa noted that the AIADMK MPs and MLAs would participate in the public meetings and deliver special addresses. Ms
Jayalalithaa asked the functionaries and district Secretaries of the youth camp for young men and girls to coordinate with functionaries of the various wings of the party and local body representatives and organise the meetings.
Following this, the list of venues for the meetings, along with the names of the orators was released by Vaigai Chelvan, the Secretary of the AIADMK camp for young boys and girls and Minister for School education,Sports and Youth Welfare.
